Sometimes we forget how much God wants to be involved in our lives. We carry burdens He never asked us to carry. We run schedules that leave no room for Him. But every day is a fresh invitation.
He wants to be our peace, not just our provider. Our rest, not just our rescue. And on this day, we are choosing to slow down and remember that God is still in the middle of everything as we say this prayer for April 13.
Bible Verse for April 13
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” – Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
Prayer for April 13
Father, today we choose stillness. Not the kind that comes from escape but the one that comes from trust. We lay down the pressure to have it all figured out. We lay down the panic, the hustle, and the fear. You are God. We are not. And that is enough.
You said be still and know and we want to know You deeper. Not just know about You but know Your ways, Your whisper, Your comfort, Your strength. Remind us that in the silence You are speaking. In the quiet You are near. You are not absent when life slows down. Sometimes that is where You meet us most.
God, still our minds. Help us stop rehearsing what went wrong and fearing what might go wrong. Teach us to rest without guilt. To trust without needing proof. Let our confidence be rooted in Your nature not our performance.
We also pray for everyone who feels restless today. For the one whose thoughts keep running. For the one who is exhausted from pretending to be okay. Wrap them in Your presence. Whisper Your peace into every anxious corner of their heart.
And Lord, we ask that even in our stillness You would move. Move in our homes. Move in our health. Move in our relationships. We are not striving for You. We are surrendering to You. Have Your way in us today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Final Thoughts
Stillness is not laziness. It is not weakness. It is spiritual strength that says God is in control and I don’t have to be. Today, find five minutes to be still. No music. No phone. Just sit in the awareness that God is with you and repeat this prayer for April 13. That moment may change your whole day.
This is what I need to get going. Thank You.
