My First Blog and an Introduction Nobody Asked For

I don’t know how to start this. Maybe I should start with a deep, profound statement. Maybe I should start with a Bible verse. Or maybe I should just say the truth:

I have no idea what I’m doing.

But here I am. Writing. Starting this blog.

Why? Because I have things to say. Things that have been sitting in my heart for too long. Things I wish someone had told me when I was struggling. Things I believe will help somebody, even if it’s just one person.

my introduction

Why This Blog Exists

I’ve always loved teaching. But for more than three years, I haven’t been in that space. Life moved, and I moved with it. But there’s a problem—when you love something deeply, it never really leaves you.

So here I am, finding another way to do what I love.

This blog is for people who need it. People who want to know God but feel lost. People who want to pray but don’t know how to start. People who pick up their Bible and wonder, “Where do I even begin?”

I know what it feels like to be in that place.

I’ve been there.

What Will I Be Posting?

Honestly? I don’t even have a long, detailed content plan. But I do know this:

  • I will share prayers—simple prayers you can say when words fail you.
  • I will talk about Christian topics—things people struggle with but don’t always say out loud.
  • I will tell my story—not because my story is special, but because I know someone out there will see themselves in it.

I know what it means to feel too far gone. I know what it means to think, “Maybe God is tired of me.” But I also know that God is not like people. He does not give up on us the way we sometimes give up on ourselves.

This blog will remind you of that.

Why Read This Blog Every Day?

I won’t sit here and say, “Read my blog because I have all the answers.” I don’t.

But I have lived through things. I have messed up. I have walked away from God. I have found my way back.

The story of the prodigal son? That’s me. That’s my life in a few sentences.

So if you have ever felt too broken, too sinful, too messed up, too lost—maybe you’ll find something here that speaks to you.

I am not writing this blog because I have everything figured out. I am writing it because I don’t. But I am learning. I am growing. I am seeing God in ways I never did before.

And I want you to come on that journey with me.

No Fancy Endings

I don’t have a deep closing statement for this first post. No “in conclusion.” No perfect summary.

This blog is me, writing from my heart. That’s all.

If you read this far, maybe this blog is for you. Maybe we are not so different.

Maybe—just maybe—God is not done with us yet.
